Schrack, PhD As the Director of the Johns Hopkins University (COAH), I welcome you and thank you for visiting our website! Worldwide, there will soon be more adults aged 65 and older than children aged five and younger. This critical juncture accentuates the importance of engaging older adults in research and clinical care to live longer, healthier lives. The consists of more than 40 faculty members from Johns Hopkins University’s schools of Medicine, Public Health, and Nursing who lead and collaborate on innovative research programs across multiple platforms, including cognitive and sensory functioning, physical activity and mobility, frailty and resiliency, social engagement and caregiving, and health services. To support the development of the next generation of researchers, we have structured predoctoral and postdoctoral training programs focused on the epidemiology, biostatistics and mental health of aging. Through these research and education programs, we aim to discover new and more effective ways to promote health, longevity, and well-being with aging.
